Tournée de sensibilisation des populations sur l’eau et l’assainissement à l’intérieur du Togo |

 L’association nature healing nature (NHN), basée aux Etats-Unis, et l’ONG jeunes Volontaires pour l’Environnement (JVE) ont sensibilisé les habitants de l’intérieur du Togo, sur la gestion de l’eau, sur l’assainissement et les maladies liées. Cette tournée qui s’est déroulé du 19 mars au 22 avril, a pour objet de stimuler les populations à désormais s’autonomiser. Suite au constat d’inaction faite auprès de ces braves populations qui pourtant ne manquent pas d’énergie, il a été décidé l’organisation d’une telle tournée. Etaient ciblées deux régions essentielles : la région Maritime et la région de la Kara.

Le monde entier a célébré ce 22 Avril 2009, la journée Mondiale de la Terre. Cette année elle est placée sous le thème : « votre planète a besoin de vous unis. Unis pour combattre le changement climatique ». |

I was in Bonn. I saw it all. I was not convinced. I left disappointed.I am writting these words; bitter.---
I see a gloomy future. I feel sorry already for this generation, but not for the future generation. In fact, I believe in the powerful dynamism of young people to bring about a drastic deviation from the way; today's leaders are playing with our future. Of course, i noticed a big leap in the approach used by developping countries, especially from Africa, which are becoming more and more vocal (Bravo for Togolese negotiators who made four appreciable statements and even supported the Annex I 45% emissions target proposed by Micronesia)

Bonn. Sounds like 'good' in French but nothing! Where as the COP 15 is quickly approaching; world negotiators behave in the recent climate AWG-LCA & KP (do not ask me what is mean), as if neither do they have a watch nor a calendar.
Most delegates; especially from the global south left, disappointed. Developing countries expressed their disappointment over little progress at the climate talks in Bonn which ended on 8 April and stressed that there were wide gaps in understanding the positions of developing countries. They also emphasised the serious implementation deficit by developed countries of their commitments under the UNFCCC. And by the way; get ready for new vocabulary (NAMA, the Bar, MRV, Registry etc...) |
